New in this release:
-
A URL field has been added to the Quick Capture area of Source records. This can be used to copy/paste a web page address for later retrieval. URL fields each support auto-completion based on previous entries. A button appears beside it to launch the page in your computer's default browser. URL's are not stable since web site's are changed all the time. So only depend on it in the short term while first assembling the fuller set of source citation information.
-
In the Data Transfer Manager, the grid on the right side listing data from Clooz can now be customized to choose which columns should appear, including the two user definable fields and the Alternate ID field.
-
The bulk edit function which can be found in the context menus for the main screens (Subjects, Information Records, and Sources) has been redone. When the function is used with Subjects, you can now copy values from any of the ID fields (the 3 user definable fields plus the 4 external type IDs) to one of the 3 user definable fields. Warnings of overwriting values already saved are now shown and you can select which may be overwritten before proceeding.
-
An option was added to the program options list to select the way auto-complete editor matches up the entered text with suggested list items. This setting controls whether the match has to be case sensitive (exact match of upper or lower case characters) or not. Check the box if you want the ability to have both upper and lower case versions of the same text in the list to choose from, but you'll need to enter the correct case to match an item. Uncheck the box if you want to be able to get the list item regardless of the case of characters you typed. This feature does not apply to fields in templates where the first character is forced to be upper case per the template specification (certain fields such as sex and race).
